Olinguito Speaks Up

Olinguito Speaks Up is a children's book that is written in English and Spanish by Cecilla Velastegui.  The book brings environmental issues to children's level through the eyes of a story teller Tomas a Galapagos tortoise.  Olinguito who is shy has been listening to the stories from a distance decides to come closer to the group of other animals listening to the stories.

This is a good story for children that depicts real animals in the forest while including issus that humans encounter.  The book will also spark interest of young readers to explore environmental issues and concerns.  Teachers could easily incorporate this story into there lesson plans or have on there shelves for free reading.

A copy of this book was provided from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
